WHO THEY ARE
Offerfair Self Storage is a storage company, based in East Sussex, with seven sites in Hastings and St Leonards. When we started working with them in 2016, they had just one site, and over the past seven years they have now opened another six sites, offering self-storage to individuals and businesses from across East Sussex, and now from even further afield.
They are known for their competitive prices and flexible storage options, and have many long and short-term customers, which is reflected in their high number of five-star Google reviews.
WHAT THEY DO
They offer secure and cost-effective self-storage units for individuals and businesses in a range of sizes from 15 – 180 square feet, across seven sites in Hastings and St Leonards. They also sell a complete range of packaging and storage materials which can be purchased and collected at their premises.

WHAT THEY NEEDED
We started working with Offerfair almost by chance! Martyn was in the offices of one of our longstanding manufacturing clients in Hastings one day when the owner of the business advised that they had ‘acquired’ a self-storage facility. They had been renting one of their buildings to someone who had instigated the fit out of them as storage units, and then not paid the rent. As a result, the unit had all the storage rooms and even the computer to run the rentals, all ready to go. Martyn was asked to meet with the owner’s daughter, Kelly who was to run the new company and assist with their marketing, and we were appointed their marketing agency in 2016.
When we started working with them, they had a very basic website and social media profiles on Facebook and Twitter, however none of it was well optimised or utilised.
WHAT WE DID FOR THEM
Initially, we updated and optimised the website, and added a blog section, which meant the website was performing much better. The website was perfectly functional, but it was not until 2019 we were tasked with reproducing the entire website. We initially carried out keyword research and then rewrote the entire website copy, adding meta titles and descriptions and updated imagery on all pages. A new website structure was produced and the site built. Since its launch we have continued to regularly add new landing pages to the site, such as using keywords to target audiences outside the immediate East Sussex area. As Offerfair have opened new sites we have continually updated and refreshed the website to reflect the new offering. Two new blog posts are also produced each month and added to the website.
In addition to the new website and website updates, we ran a comprehensive PPC programme for them, however as natural optimisation has now kicked in, this is no longer required and was stopped some time ago.
On a quarterly basis we send out a digital newsletter to their email distribution list comprising of local businesses and individuals who are either already customers or prospects. We also post bi-monthly on their social media profiles. This was originally on Facebook and Twitter, but the social media campaign has now been expanded to also include Google and LinkedIn.

WHAT WAS ACHIEVED
Following the launch of the new website, visitor numbers have increased every year, and now average over 750 per month. As the natural optimisation of the site has taken effect and continues to do so, this is now more than were previously achieved with the operation of the paid PPC campaign.
