ProcureCo

WHO THEY ARE

ProcureCo is a brand-new online platform that allows buyers in the public sector, including housing associations etc, to directly interface with potential suppliers, both large and small. In particular, the ProcureCo portal allows pre-tender discussions, in a compliant manner, so that contract requirements can be better formulated and suppliers can be ready to bid. There is even a chat facility for online discussions.

WHAT THEY DO

ProcureCo enables public and social housing sector buyers and suppliers to identify, target and connect directly with relevant businesses and the people within those businesses so they can communicate, create a dialogue and collaborate on future contract opportunities before tenders appear on tender portals.

WHAT THEY NEEDED

Calibre received a kind referral from Mina at Ditzy Media, who was too busy to handle the project, as there were only 10 days between briefing and the high-profile launch event, to which many senior personnel in procurement and supply had been invited. The main requirement was for a social media campaign, although many of the profiles had not yet been established or were incomplete.

WHAT WE DID FOR THEM

Calibre responded with a rapid programme to review and identify the improvements needed to the ProcureCo social media profiles. Also with suggested updates to better utilise the personal LinkedIn page of Moira Skinner, the founder of ProcureCo.

In addition to updating the profiles, many of which had only been registered and not populated, we focused on LinkedIn, connecting Moira to those attending the launch event, including the strategic board members and advisory group, and then also asked them to follow the company profile plus share our posts about the launch of the platform. We also identified editors and journalists at relevant media and connected Moira with them to help secure press coverage both following the event and beyond.

We developed a content schedule to promote the launch and also the key attributes of ProcureCo, namely: Connect, Communicate and Collaborate, the three words forming the strapline, summing up the salient and significant benefits of the platform.

News blogs were written for placement on the ProcureCo website, with social posts on all platforms prepared, linking back to these for further information. Graphics were developed to support each post and emails were drafted encouraging the members of the strategic board and other influential contacts to share the LinkedIn posts.

We then attended the actual day of the launch, to learn more about ProcureCo ourselves and to provide marketing and media support. Including a series of social posts that were written from the event highlighting different aspects and phases of the launch, plus the very warm reception received from those attending.

“Thanks to all the Calibre crew who worked on ProcureCo so promptly including Irulan, Ian, Jose and Sarah. Whilst it is always better to have a well-planned schedule, it is good to see we can react when we need to.”
