Key Aspects and Activities of a LinkedIn Campaign

LinkedIn is the B2B (business to business) social media channel. It allows you to connect with and communicate with not only your clients, but also prospective customers, referrers and introducers and even your suppliers.

It’s electronic networking! No need to attend lots of boring meetings and eat unhealthy breakfasts! It’s not only effective but it’s free!

Unlike other social media channels, it has not been monetarised (as yet!) and so you can build your audience and they will see the posts, comments etc. So, what do you need to be successful on LinkedIn?

Professional Profiles

Not only your personal profile, but that of your company too. Also, those of your colleagues. Make sure they are complete and detail what you and your business can do for potential customers. How you will make a difference for them.

Post Regularly

Consistency is the key. Schedule your posts in advance, so you have a good idea of what you will be communicating and when. Although of course as opportunities arise, they can be slotted in early.

Company for Credibility

Post on the company profile and then share on your own, adding suitable comments, as these improve post impressions and views.

Quality Content

Ideally your posts should be advisory, informative, interesting and/or offer guidance. Keep them professional. Although LinkedIn is often described as the B2B version of Facebook, keep your personal posts for the other social platforms.

Make Connections

The beauty of LinkedIn is that you can identify individuals at companies and organisations that you want to trade with. Ask them to connect with you and once they have, ask them to connect with your company profile as well, so they have more possibilities to see your posts.

Make Conversions

Once you are connected: if they show interest by liking or sharing your posts, send them a personal message explaining what you offer and why you are good at it and ask them for a meeting or a quick call.

That’s the power of LinkedIn. You can go from ensuring you present yourself and your business professionally to converting customers. Link your profile and posts to your website and other online resources and it can also help build traffic to your other marketing platforms, where prospects can find further information and make enquiries or place orders.

Calibre offers a whole range of LinkedIn services from building and managing company and personal profiles, through professional posting, to undertaking the connection and conversion of potential customers to generate enquiries and/or meetings, either online or in person.
