the impact of Google GA4

Only two weeks left before the GA4 switchover

Has your Google Analytics been updated in preparation? Please contact us if you need assistance.

The current iteration of Google Analytics, also called GA3, will stop working on the 1st of July. To avoid getting caught in a situation where data is lost or not being recorded, the migration will need to be made before the switchover date.

GA4 is an upgrade to the Google Analytics service that enables you to measure traffic and engagement across your websites and apps. It is the fourth major release of Google Analytics and is the newest iteration of the free website tracking software. GA4 is becoming the default version of Google Analytics and will be the sole option for analytics tracking come July 1st 2023.

This means that the current Universal Analytics will no longer receive any data from your website, making it a priority for your business to transition to the new GA4 sooner rather than later, to ensure continuity in reporting. If you haven’t already done so we recommend that you complete this conversion as soon as possible.

The conversion requires some level of technical expertise as it involves going over some steps to implement GA4, starting from creating a new GA4 property and data stream and ensuring that any conversion will carry over. If you need help with this, please get in touch with the Calibre crew and we’ll be glad to help you.

The digital world and the web continues to evolve at pace and Google isn’t showing signs of slowing down. Please see the GA4 blog on our website or contact us for more information or assistance: https://lnkd.in/edEfKrg6
