A Day at Ashling Park: Uniting the Calibre Crew with Nature and Inspiration

As a team of experienced marketers, we spend most of our time working remotely in front of screens, crafting campaigns, analysing metrics and creating strategies for success. But every so often, it is beneficial to step away from the digital world to recharge, reconnect, and catch-up with the rest of the crew!

Our recent team visit to Ashling Park, a stunning vineyard in West Sussex, was the location for the latest Calibre Crew team meeting. The day was a perfect blend of business and pleasure, allowing us to bond as a team and fuel our creativity in a tranquil setting. Here’s a glimpse into our memorable day and how it brought fresh perspective to our work.

A Productive Team Meeting in a Scenic Setting

The day began with an insightful team meeting. While we usually meet in conference rooms or over video calls, there was something refreshingly different here, as the atmosphere was calm, and the beautiful surroundings created the perfect backdrop for open discussion and creative brainstorming.

We reviewed our marketing campaigns and aligned on strategy for future projects. We discussed evolving technologies and their role in supporting our clients, ensuring our marketing programmes remain effective and efficient.

Exploring the Vineyard: Inspiration from the Ground Up

After our meeting, we took a guided tour of Ashling Park Vineyard. The tour offered an insightful behind-the-scenes look at how the vineyard operates. It was an eye-opening experience for many of us, especially those who hadn’t previously had the chance to explore a vineyard before.

Walking through rows of young vines, we learned about the different grape varieties grown at Ashling Park and how each one contributes to the distinct flavours of their wines. Thanks so much to our guide, who shared fascinating insights about the day to day running of the vineyard and a bit of history too.

During our tour of the vineyard, we were struck by the sense of patience and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle of wine. It was a reminder of the importance of quality that is needed at every stage of creating something exceptional, an approach we that we take as marketers in our work. Just like the careful tending of vines, effective marketing requires careful planning, attention to detail, and a clear long-term strategy.

Wine Tasting and Lunch in the Vineyard: A Feast for the Senses

No visit to a vineyard would be complete without tasting some wine and indulging in its culinary offerings! We were treated to several delicious wines, followed by lunch in the charming restaurant. It was the perfect opportunity to relax and have fun outside of the usual work environment. The peaceful atmosphere allowed us to share ideas and discuss new campaigns.

Reflecting on the Day: A New Perspective

By the end of the day, we had not only strengthened our connections as a team but also gained a renewed sense of inspiration. We left Ashling Park ready to tackle new challenges with vigour and creativity, equipped with the knowledge that even in a digital world, some of the best ideas can come from reconnecting with nature, and appreciating a different way of working. Thank you, Ashling Park, for your wine tasting experience, stunning views, and wonderful hospitality.
