SPF, DKIM records and DMARC policies for all domains.

Google, Yahoo and Apple recently announced a joint effort to reduce the number of unwanted emails received by users. Beginning as soon as this month, February 2024, they will be monitoring the sending of mail and restrictions are set to be fully in place by April.

New email requirements include setting up SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) records within your domains DNS to make sure emails sent are DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) compliant. If you are sending mail through the likes of Zoho, Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc then this is something that will certainly need to be actioned to help ensure your emails do not end up being marked as spam or blocked entirely.

High-volume senders will be subject to even stricter requirements related to email authentication. Additionally, marketing email and newsletters will now need to offer recipients the option to unsubscribe from future emails with just a single click to ensure your emails and electronic newsletters continue to be received.

These are important but thankfully relatively simple changes to implement. If you have not already actioned, and need some help in doing so, please just reach out to us – we will be happy to help.
